New Procedures Within the Activites Department

Along with changes to the schedule and student parking, changes have also been made in the activities department. Recently, the activities department has changed their entire planning process for student activities.

”We have created a new structure, we have a leadership team that meets with our spirit advisers and all of our class sponsors and we felt that one, we wanted time to properly prepare a quality pep rally(we didn’t do that), and then we wanted to make sure our staff and everybody was notified a little bit more in advance of the pep rally because we didn’t let anybody know prior to that week,”explained Mr.Westerhous

Don’t worry though, they have plans to improve the situation. “Our leadership team meets twice a month. On our agenda is to talk about our next pep rally and coming up with some dates for those pep rallies. So then we can publish and let people know so they can plan in advance.”

They can’t do all of the work on their own though. “Then our class committees can take information back to their classes about what is planned and how they can be apart of the pep rally and include and get more people engaged in the pep rally. I know a definite pep rally is during homecoming week that Thursday during homecoming week (our community pep rally),” he said.
