iPhone 7 Review

In the past month the iPhone 7 was released and hasn’t had many upgrades. Each time a generation is released everyone expects so much out of it because of the way they exaggerate the many “updates” of the new generations. In my opinion I feel like the iPhone needs to stop with the new generations because they are starting to not only get annoying, but also there aren’t very good updates. They are taking away parts of the iPhone needed and adding unnecessary changes to the phones. I mean yes they have good upgrades here and there with this iPhone 7 but some are really ridiculous.

For one thing, they took away the headphone jack and replaced the headphones for “air pods,” which are wireless headphones that connect to the iPhone through Bluetooth. Who in their right mind thought this was a good idea in the first place to make wireless headphones, when people lose their wire headphones all the time now. I feel like Apple is just being ridiculous with the upgrades, yes some are good and worth the buy, but not for that much money.

Some of the upgrades are good. The 28mm wide-angle lens is a good addition to the iPhone 7. This camera also has a second 56mm telephoto lens for better optical zoom. This is a good thing because it will make pictures look less blurry when they are taken and for photographers I am sure they would love this so they can take good pictures from their phones.

Apple says that this new iPhone is water resistant but can only withstand 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. It also has a dust and water resistance rating of IP67, which means it is entirely dust proof. The new display is 25 percent brighter than the display in the iPhone 6s, and uses end to end color management for more vivid color.

Another decent thing with this iPhone is the battery life. The iPhone 7 battery life is expected to last two more hours than the iPhone 6. I feel like this is a great thing because a lot of people have been wanting the longer battery life for a while. According to Apple this iPhone is one of the best iPhones the company has created, but is it really?
