Get to know some JCHS students

Junction City High School currently has 1,655 students (as of the December 21st count). There are many students with mulitple interests and involvement in our community. Get to know a few of our students.

First, meet Zoe Rushing. Rushing is a lively and determined junior at JCHS who enjoys many different things. She loves reading and sewing in her free time, where she gets to be creative. Zoe has big dreams of starting her own flower business after she finishes school. She’s also into wrestling. Overall, Zoe’s main goal is to be happy and successful in whatever she does. She works hard, stays strong, and always looks ahead with hope.

Hector Franco is a sophomore at JCHS. He enjoys cooking with his mother, reading, and hanging out with friends. His career goal is to become a doctor after high school. Hector engages in sports; he swims and runs cross country. His life’s ambition is to work hard so that his children can live prosperous lives in the future.

Abree Herrington, a junior at JCHS, enjoys drawing and playing piano in her spare time. She currently plays soccer and plans to attend law school after high school. Her life goal is to succeed and make money.

Jaylah Buffington is a sophomore at JCHS. Her favorite thing to do in her spare time is MMA. After high school, she wants to be an obstetrician and train in MMA fighting. Her life goal is to have money and a family.
