Blue Jays fall to Seaman 61-44
At the turn of the year, Junction City looks to start off 2017 good in hopes of turning around the basketball season. After starting off the season winning three of their first four games, the young Blue Jays roster surprised everyone. However, following the third victory, the Blue Jays have lost a disappointing four straight games.
Most recently, Junction City hosted the Seaman Vikings who sit at the top of the Centennial League Standings. Seaman is currently 5-1 on their season, with two impressive overtime victories against a very good Shawnee Heights team.
After the first half of basketball, Seaman led 37-21 and never looked back. Junction City was able to score but was unable to stop the number two ranked Seaman offense. Seaman took the game away with a final score of 61-44.
Tonight, the Blue Jays travel to Washburn Rural in hopes of handing the Blues their first loss on the season. Washburn’s 5-0 record consists of victories ranging from five point wins to 17 point blowouts. Junction City looks to upset the Blues and return to JC to turn around their season.
