Blue Jay Marching Band’s Trip to K-State
Saturday October the 15th, our Blue Jay Marching Band, blew away the audience with their patriotic show. With a show being called A Matter of Red, White and Blue, the marching band worked hard to show their colors. With standing ovations and a sparks of emotions in the crowd. It took practice during and sometimes even after school to get there. The band has definitely put in work.
After visits from band directors and K-State the band started to apply more effort. Working hard to make lines straight, in step marching, and working together as a whole. Operating as one band and not individual students. With hard working staff and section leaders the band was pushed to do their best. After 3 football games performing parts of the show as a whole it’s really an amazing sight. With the featuring songs being Stars and Stripes Solute which also has Service Medley Solute, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, and Taps which also had America the Beautiful and Amazing Grace. Each of these tunes are meant to evoke the feelings that should be awaken by the reality of our soldiers’ dedication and bravery.
