Cross Country Finishes Strong at State
On Saturday, October 30th, 2016 the Junction City High School Cross Country team competed at State at Rim Rock Farm, Lawrence, Ks.
The three competitors were Jacob Lovell, Hope Stephens, and Kailey Kooman. Hope Stephens was the highest finisher from Junction City finishing 22nd with a time of 20:24, while Kailey Kooman finished placed 95th with a time of 22:35. Jacob Lovell finished 88th with a time of 18:17. Congratulations to all the cross country runners this year.
The future is bright for Junction City cross country with two out of the three state qualifiers being underclassmen. Farewell to all the seniors this season that have put in all their hard work for the cross country team and good luck to all the runners competing at the college level.
