People put a lot of thought into what they want to accomplish in the New Year. The most common New Years’ resolutions include:

  • Lose Weight/ Get Fit
  • Learn Something New
  • Eat Healthier
  • Save Money
  • Spend More Time With My Family
  • Travel
  • Be Less Stressed
  • Volunteer More
  • Drink Less Soda
  • Eat Less Candy

A high majority of New Years’ resolutions are broken within the first 3 months of the New Year.

Here are some tips to making your future New Year’s resolutions a reality:

  • Keep it Specific- General goals are easy to break
  • Keep it Measurable- Make it a goal that you can take steps to achieve
  • Make it Attainable- Have a plan to achieve it
  • Keep it  Realistic- Don’t make a goal knowing that you can’t achieve it
  • Keep a Time limit- Having a set time to complete goal makes it more likely to be completed
