People put a lot of thought into what they want to accomplish in the New Year. The most common New Years’ resolutions include:
- Lose Weight/ Get Fit
- Learn Something New
- Eat Healthier
- Save Money
- Spend More Time With My Family
- Travel
- Be Less Stressed
- Volunteer More
- Drink Less Soda
- Eat Less Candy
A high majority of New Years’ resolutions are broken within the first 3 months of the New Year.
Here are some tips to making your future New Year’s resolutions a reality:
- Keep it Specific- General goals are easy to break
- Keep it Measurable- Make it a goal that you can take steps to achieve
- Make it Attainable- Have a plan to achieve it
- Keep it Realistic- Don’t make a goal knowing that you can’t achieve it
- Keep a Time limit- Having a set time to complete goal makes it more likely to be completed
