Senior Matthew Whitton gets a lead to third and watches the play against Manhattan on April 5.

On April 16th the Blue Jays headed to Hummer Stadium where they played against the Highland Park Scotts. The Blue Jays swept the Scotts, winning both games of the doubleheader. Senior Keaton Babcock was the starting pitcher and closed out game one in the third inning, with a 19-2 victory for the Jays.

Game two began with Sophomore Russell Wilkey taking the mound as the starting pitcher. The Blue Jays jumped to an early lead after a two-run-homerun by junior Jojo Nieves. At the end of the first inning, the Jays were up 6-0 against the Scotts. The Blue Jays continued to put the pressure on and ended the top of the third inning with a 10-0 lead.  Sophomore Bodie Tillman came in to pitch at the bottom of the third inning for the Blue Jays. The Blue Jays were able to finish off the Scotts with a 15-0 win in the fourth inning.

These wins advance the Jays to a 9-3 winning record for the season. Their next game will be  April 23 against Hayden.
