Five Easy to Make Spooky Halloween Treats

Trick or Treat yourself with these 5 spooky Halloween treats. In preparation for this Halloween season, I prepared some of my favorite ghostly snacks and recorded the recipes. These easy to make delights can be made in your very own home! Enjoy these treats this Halloween with your friends and family!

Bloody Band-Aids.

Bloody Band-Aids

Ingredients:

-Food coloring/food dye

-A box of “Honey Maid Dippers”

-Vanilla frosting of any kind

Instructions:

1. Arrange the Graham cracker sticks on a plate as desired (these are the Band-Aids)

2. Spread the non-dyed icing (or vanilla icing) in the center of the cracker, this is the cotton of the Band-Aid.

3. In a bowl, mix 4 tbs of vanilla frosting with 4 drops of red food coloring, to make the red frosting (or buy red frosting separately)

4. Take the red frosting and apply a small amount onto the white frosting to look like blood.

5. Enjoy!

Reeces Bats.

Reeces Bats

Ingredients:

-1 package of Oreo minis

-1 package of Reeces miniature cups

-1 package of peal candies or edible eyes

Instructions:

1. Unwrap (as many as you desire) the Reeces minis

2. Place the Reeces minis on a plate and grab your Oreo minis

3. Take the Oreos and break the top of the Oreos off from the bottom part. (you will not need the filling inside)

4. Break each Oreo piece in half (these will be the bat’s wings)

5. Place these pieces on the Reece’s sides to look like bat wings

6. Place 2 edible pearls or edible eyes between the wings.

7. Enjoy!

Rice Krispies Ghosts.

Ghost Rice Krispies

Ingredients:

-1 package of jet-puffed marshmallows

-6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal

-3 tbs of butter

-Vanilla frosting

-Edible pearls or edible eyes

Instructions:

1. In a pan, melt butter over low heat, add the marshmallows and stir the mixture until it is melted. Remove from heat.

2. Add 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal to the mixture, and mix well.

3. Press the mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan that is coated with cooking spray.

4. Let cool.

OR

1. In a large bowl, microwave 3 tbs of butter and the marshmallows on high for 3 minutes, stirring every minute until smooth.

2. Add 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal to the mixture, and mix well.

3. Press the mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan that is coated with cooking spray.

4. Let cool.

Then

5. Cut into 2-inch squares.

6. In a bowl melt 3 cups of vanilla frosting.

7. Dip the top of the treat into the frosting.

8. Add eyes to the treat, let cool, and enjoy.

Skeleton Chow.

Skeleton Chow (Puppy Chow)

Ingredients:

-9 cups of Crispy rice cereal squares

-1/2 cup Peanut butter

-1 cup of Semi-sweet chocolate chips

-1 ½ cups of Confectioner’s sugar

Instructions:

1. In a pan, on low heat, melt the chocolate

2. Add peanut butter and mix until smooth.

3. Remove from heat, add 9 cups of cereal and then stir until coated.

4. Put powdered sugar into a large bag, and add coated cereal

5. Shake until well coated. Enjoy!

Pumpkin Pretzels.

Pumpkin Pretzels

Ingredients:

-1/2 cup green M&Ms

-12 ounces of orange candy coating

-3 cups of pretzels

Instructions:

1. Cut green M&MS in half

2. Put the orange candy coating in a bowl and microwave for 30-seconds, repeat until melted.

3. Put the pretzel in the coating, use a fork to pull the pretzel out of the candy coating.

4. Place it on baking sheet with wax paper on it.

5. Place the M&M half on the top of the pretzel (this will be the stem)

6. Repeat until all pretzels are done, chill, and enjoy!
