Fortnite, one of the most renowned games, developed by Epic Games, rose to popularity in late 2017- 2018, and has spread its popularity to mobile devices. Fortnite mobile is a touch-controlled version of the original Fortnite Battle Royale. The release date of the mobile version was on March 12, 2018.

The mobile version of Fortnite is extremely similar to other platforms. If signed in with a previously played account, your possessions such as skins, gliders, and emotes will be transferred. Although the mobile version is extremely similar, one of the most noticeable difference is the accessibility to build.

As a person who has played both PC and console, the mobile version is defiantly a toned down version, and defiantly harder to get used to compared to other forms of playing Fortnite. Alongside with difficulty building in the mobile version, it is also harder to access other features such as the inventory, scope, jump, and crouch. Besides these inconveniences, they are nearly identical.

Fortnite is a Battle Royale style game where you survive, and eliminate opposing players, and the last person or team standing triumphant with the edition of building.

Due to its widespread popularity, nearly everyone is playing Fortnite.  “I play every day, every min, every second, I play a lot,” Alejandro Ramos said. Fortnite is available for download through Epic Games’ platform for PC, PlayStation and Xbox store on the console, and in the app store for mobile.

There’s always the question of why Fortnite is such a popular game and fun to play. “A lot of people play it, it’s colorful, it gives you stuff to do, and you can play with friends,” Alejandro Ramos said.

Fortnite is a good way to have fun with your friends and to spend time together.

“It’s fun because you have to outlive other players and you can also play with friends,” said Josh Ault.

After the release of Fortnite mobile, students are more focused on playing rather than doing their work. History teacher, Mr. Dwier, says that Fortnite is a distraction to students in class because they are more focused if the game than class.

But students feel differently about this, “No it’s not a distraction, because I finish my work before I play,” said Josh Ault when being interviewed. So Fortnite is not a problem if school work is also being done.

All and all, Fortnite mobile is an easily assessable way of playing Fortnite.

-On May 01, 2018 Season 4 was introduced into Fortnite with a theme of superhero.
