The Junction City Choir had their annual Christmas concert on December 7th   2015. All choirs performed in this concert. This concert was graded as their final for this semester.

The Lady Blues performed O Come, O Come Emmanuel, There Is Faint Music, Night Wind Whispers, God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen with Tchaikovosky Nutcracker suite.

The Lady Blues were very good, and harmonized well together. The Lady Blues started singing in the audience with candles. They walked in sync and continued to sing beautifully. Jordan Biggs was a student conductor and conducted a song for The Lady Blues.

The Men’s Choir performed Alleluia; Laudate Dominium; Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Land; and The Shepherd’s Spiritual.

Men’s Choir sounded nice for having such nice stern voices. On Laudate Dominum they brought up the tempo in the song.

Concert Choir performed Field of White, Still the Holiest Night, Rejoice and Sing!

Concert Choir was the largest choir by far, they harmonized well for the large group but at some points they didn’t know their words.

JC Singers sang That’s Christmas to Me, and Mary Did You Know, both by Petatonix.

Both songs were acapella, which means there were no instruments used. Both concerts this year the JC Singers have done acapella songs and have killed all of them The JC Singers brought the house down, they had a long standing ovation.

Chamber Choir performed Betelhemu, Hodie, Christus nates est, Ubi Caritas, Ride On, King Jesus, and Hallelujah.

All five songs Chamber Choir performed were up tempo and got the crowd into it. On the last song of the night the audience was allowed to go up on stage and sing Hallelujah with the choir.

The Christmas Concert as a whole was great and I recommend watching the live stream on our website. Next year will be the 80th JCHS Christmas Concert so make sure to come there might be something special!
