The Spring Musical in Construction!

Rachel Soh

The Spring Musical “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” is going underway. The Stagecraft class is currently developing the props for the musical to prepare for the show in March 12-14. The class has to use many materials such as an electric saw, paints, and sandpaper. A lot of the time the actors and actresses are the ones applauded, but hard work is being put into these props day to day by students. Students get experience in using these materials and get a jist of how backstage work is produced. This can also be an opportunity to expose students to a potential career path. People feel very satisfied with the work they produce in this class,

“The school bus is finally standing by itself!” a student said.

The grades in the class is determined by what they produce in the class and the entire hour is a work based class. The bus in Charlie Brown and the small piano played by Schroeder and many more sets have already been made. Come to the spring musical by buying tickets in room 111 starting from February 9th and see what the stagecraft class made!
