Bowling Q&A with Savannah Adams

Braden Ball, Staff writer

Sophomore Savannah Adams is a member the girls bowling team and has been bowling for 8 years. Adams is a multi-sport athlete who plays volleyball, bowling, and track. We sat down with Adams to discuss the beginning of the season.

Q: How do you feel this season has started out?

Adams: I feel like this season has started out pretty well. We have placed 3rd in both of our tournaments so far but we could be better.

Q: How did you prepare for the season?

Adams: There’s not really much you can do to prepare for bowling except bowl. Making sure your hitting your mark consistently.

Q: How did your team place in your last tournaments?

Adams: We took 3rd.

Q: Have you placed as an individual?

Adams: I’m not really sure. They only announce through 5th place and I wasn’t that high. It wasn’t great I could definitely be better.

Q: How long have you been bowling?

Adams: I use to bowl on a little kids league in like 3rd grade and I’ve bowled since then.

Q: How did you get into bowling?

Adams: I started on a league when I was little. My dad has bowled for a while so we usually go bowl when he does.

Q: What are your goals for the rest of the season?

Adams: My goals are to place better as an individual cause that leads to higher team placement and to get another state ring.

Q: What is one thing people don’t understand about bowling?

Adams: How much harder it is then it looks. Being consistent is probably the hardest part

Q: What’s been the highlight of the bowling season so far?

Adams: The highlight has been to be in a new environment and surrounding myself with different people.

The bowling team will compete next at Manhattan, January 22nd.
