The Lady Jays Tennis Team has qualified a doubles team for the 6A State Tennis Tournament. Junior Codi Post and Senior Jordan Dombrowski qualified after placing fourth at the regional meet.

The duo is excited to compete at the State Tournament.

“Last year I went to State to support another player but being able to go this year and compete for myself is a completely different feeling,” Post said.

While Post has played since freshman year, practice and coaching support have helped improve her game.

“It wasn’t until last year when I started working with Coach Micheel, did I actually start working on my shot and actually started improving my game,” Post said.

Dombrowski and Post will travel to Wichita on Thursday, October 12^th and will begin competition in the 6A State Tournament hosted at the Wichita – Riverside Tennis Complex on Friday, October 13^th.
