‘Tis the Season
December 11, 2015
As the first half of the school year comes to a close, students are starting to make plans for winter break. Some students migrate to the other side of the country to escape the cold. Places like Texas, California, and Florida. The cheerleading team will actually be traveling to San Diego during the break to participate in the NCAA Holiday Bowl, they will be performing in the halftime show. Their performance will be televised on the ESPN channel on December 30, 2015 at 10:30 pm.
The winter break brings New Years’ joy because students get the opportunity to reflect on the passing semester. With the New Year comes a new you. Students make resolutions to do better in school, make the Blue Jay honor roll, or even aspire to be on the Principal’s list. We have to chance to step back and plan how we can improve ourselves for the next semester to come.
For the seniors leaving the school, however, they have other things on their mind. College acceptance letters and future roommate selections are things our seniors are worried about. Students doing early graduation have even less time to prepare for the rest of their lives. Most seniors’ early graduate to get a head start to pay for college tuition. Others graduate because they want to train for their future military careers.
Whatever students plan to do after they walk out of the doors Thursday December 17, I just hope that all students, staff, and faculty stay safe and warm. Everyone make good choices, and…
Happy Holidays
