Lemonade for Warriors

On October 21, 2015 the entrepreneurship class taught by Mrs. Whaley set up an old fashioned lemonade stand. They offered two different flavors of lemonade, pink and regular, and they even gave customers a piece of candy for each dollar they spent. This was much more than a social experiment, the earnings from the fundraiser went to a really good and worthy cause, “We are doing this for the wounded warrior program. All proceeds will go to helping them.” Senior Whitney Amerine said. The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a charity and veterans service organization that offers a variety of programs, service and events for wounded veterans of the military.

The student body as a whole responded well and many of them contributed to their cause, “This was a really nice thing to do and I really liked their cause.” Sophomore Ashley Thompson said.

This inspiring event happened to take place on the JCHS unity day. Students were wearing orange and supporting the cause to help those hurt protecting our country.
