Football Preview: Shawnee Heights

The Junction City Blue Jays take on the Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds tonight. The Blue Jays are 2-0 and the Thunderbirds are 0-2.

Players to watch for Shawnee Heights on the offensive side of the ball are #2 Trey Brown, #21 Alex Sheikh, and #34 Cole Emerson. Trey Brown is their quarterback, Alex Sheikh is one of their running backs they rotate in and #34 Cole Emerson is a deep threat receiver to watch.

On the defensive side of the ball #81 Wyatt Hubert, #15 Casey Wulfkuhle, and #1 Josh Remby are players to watch tonight. Wyatt Hubert plays defensive end and inside linebacker, he leads the team with the most tackles. In his last game he had 20 total tackles 13 solo tackles and 7 tackles in which he assisted on. Casey Wulfkuhle plays safety and Josh Remby plays outside and inside linebacker.

The Blue Jays have some key players on their side of the ball.

The Blue Jays offense has been on fire the first two games scoring 56 points in both games. #4 Raye Wilson is the fullback and he is the number eight leading rusher in Kansas with 341 rushing yards through two games. # 2 Jovon Baldwin has 165 receiving yards through two games and he will also be seen running the ball.

The defensive side of the ball has been causing a ruckus too some players to watch would be #3 Christen Ozores who will be playing safety along with #87 Bradley Breckenridge who plays on the defensive line.
