Prom is one of the most anticipated events of the year for juniors and seniors. Unfortunately, the cost of prom can be a bit expensive for girls. Luckily, there are a few ways to get a fancy prom dress for a decent amount of money.

You can always order online for prom dresses, but there are alternatives like the “Military Ball Swap” on Facebook, which is a closed group that you can join. All you have to do to join the group is click join and wait to be accepted. In the group you can buy and sell used and new dresses with a variety of sizes, styles, and colors. If you want to stay local, one option is Magnolias Magnolia’s offers dresses in all different styles in our own town. The small store can offer you quality dresses with a good price and it doesn’t take the thirty minute drive to Manhattan. There are some options outside of JC, like the Weisner’s Bridal Boutique in Manhattan. The store is a bridal shop, so the dresses are more formal.

David bridal has options for everyone as well, and the prom dresses start at just $50.00. The store carries bridal gowns, but has a large selection of affordable prom dresses. David’s bridal is also a bridal store that offers prom dresses, so the dresses are more formal. David’s bridal is located behind Target in Manhattan.

Celebrations of the Heart is an option for upscale dresses. They carry brand name dresses such as Blush, Dave and Johnny, Faviana New York, Scala, and Tease Prom. Unfortunately, these name brands come with a price and can be a bit more expensive. Celebrations of the Heart is located at 401 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, KS 66502 and is near the Manhattan Town Center.

There are always options in the Manhattan Town Center such as Dillard’s. They carry some big name brands, but can be pricey. This may be a good option if you’re looking for a fast and quick place to buy a dress.

In Topeka, there is a prom dress clearance sale at Deb because it is closing down and the whole store is fifty-percent off. Since the store is closing down, make sure to take a look soon before most of the dresses are sold.
