We interviewed some of the leading roles before their curtain call, asking them questions on the play, and their character. Here are their responses:
Gabe Taylor: “I play Mr. Peabody in tonight’s play. His role is to just flirt with main characters mom – Mrs. Patterson. Being in the play was an experience, but I plan on getting a role in the musical that’s coming in the spring.”
Bella Omann: “My character is Flory Patterson, she’s a 15 year old who has never been kissed. It’s about to be her birthday and she wants to be kissed before she turns 16 so she goes boy crazy. Overall I’m happy with how the play is going to turn out, I think everybody is nervous – I don’t know, I’m just excited.”
Kirstyn Groff: “My role is Christine, uh—she’s like the head Christian person. She’s really religious and judges everybody for everything that they do whether it’s Godly or not. A basic overview of the play is about a girl who wants to get kissed before her 16th birthday and so she make 3 different scenarios happen so that she can get kissed, it takes her 3 months for her to get kissed, and the play its definitely based off the book and not the movie with Drew Barymore.”
Stacie Marvin: “I am playing the mother of Flory, Mrs. Patterson. I am a very understanding mother, Flory is your typical boy crazy girl. And I am that mother who kind of helps her keep a down low, and keep her mild.”
Cast members of this show did an amazing job fulfilling a their roles . Their countless hours of preparation for the show finally paid off and resulted in a great performance.
