Advice for Incoming Freshman
May 6, 2014
With this year coming to a close and Seniors leaving for good to begin other endeavors, a new batch of Freshmen are also ready to begin their high school careers. After four long years filled with torturous classwork, budding romances, and a fair share of positive and negative interactions throughout their time here at Junction City High School, the best people to give advice to the people just starting this journey would be the ones who already finished it: our Seniors.
This is a compiled list of some of their wise advice:
– “Just because you’re in high school doesn’t mean you’re grown.” –Aaliyah Hutchinson
– “Be yourself and don’t forget who your friends are. High school is where you discover who you are and what your talents are, so try everything out.” –Jack Timmerman
– “Don’t change who you are based on who you’re with.” –Eddy Banul
– “Don’t say you’ll do it tomorrow. Do it now.” –Brenna Foltin
– “Don’t get caught up in what everyone else is doing, do what you love. People are always going to tell you that you can’t do something, prove them wrong and have fun while doing it!” –Alyssa Strahl
– “Manage your time well, don’t slack off and not turn in your work. You’ll fall behind fast. –Alexus Kent
– “Grades are everything.” –Rjay Adame
