Charlotte’s Web swinging into JCHS this fall
“Wilbur didn’t want food, he wanted love. He wanted a friend- someone who would play with him.”
Everyone remembers the book, “Charlotte’s Web” by EB White. It’s about a pig named Wilbur who is about to get butchered by a farmer, Mr. Arable. But Fern, the farmer’s daughter begs him to not slaughter him. Fern’s dad bribes another farmer, Mr. Homer Zuckerman to keep the pig so Fern can still see him. What Mr. Arable doesn’t know is that Zuckerman is also going to butcher Wilbur. Wilbur befriends a spider named Charlotte and everyday Charlotte whittle words into her web as a plan to keep the pig out of the slaughterhouse.
“Charlotte’s Web” is a book from our childhood; a book we all love. Well, let’s relive our childhood and see the JCHS production of Charlotte’s Web. It’s this year’s fall play. It will be a two night event: November 18th and 19th at 7pm in the JCHS auditorium. Tickets cost $5, but JCHS students will get in for free if they have their student IDs. Please go and support our fellow blue jay students.
